Spartans observing Ramadan will have dining options available from MSU Culinary Services. Four of our residential dining halls on campus will offer prepackaged breakfast options and dinner selections.
BREAKFAST OPTIONS
Two prepackaged breakfast options will be available each day during dinner service at:
- Brody Square
- South Pointe at Case
- The Vista at Shaw
- The Edge at Akers
Students choosing to pick up a breakfast option during dinner service are required to use a Combo-X-Change meal per our usual takeout process. Daily breakfast options available to pick up during dinner include the following:
OPTION A
- Hard-cooked eggs
- Cheese & Egg Breakfast Burrito
- Naan bread with peanut butter
- Dates
- Milk and mango juice
OPTION B
- Hard-cooked eggs
- Apple raisin overnight oats
- Naan bread with peanut butter
- Dates
- Milk and mango juice
DINNER OPTIONS
Our menus for dinner service during Ramadan include a halal protein complete plate option and a vegan/vegetarian complete plate option. Guests can find these dinner selections at the following locations in each campus neighborhood for dine-in or takeout. As a reminder, takeout is considered a Combo-X-Change meal.

Sparty’s Mini-Markets
In addition to residential dining hall offerings, Sparty’s mini-markets will offer shelf-stable items and refrigerated items (Woody's) as a Combo-X-Change option during Ramadan, including halal items at the following locations:
- Holden and Holmes Dining (grab and go)
- Sparty's at Brody, Case, Holden, Hubbard, McDonel, Owen, and Snyder/Phillips.

If you would like to request accommodations for an in-room microwave or refrigerator, please complete a service request at liveon.msu.edu/maintenance, and the facilities team will follow up with you.
