MSU Bakers is proud to continue supporting National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Throughout October, a portion of proceeds from each purchase of pink swirl cupcakes from msubakers.com and the bakery storefront will benefit Spartans Fighting Cancer.
The bakery will continue to recognize “Gwensday Wednesdays” throughout the month as well in honor of Gwen Lyon, mother of MSU baker Rita Lyon, who passed away in 1972 of breast cancer. On Wednesdays in October, the team will alternate between the pink swirl cupcakes and pink iced cookies in residential dining halls across campus and in the storefront.
If you’re interested in donating directly to Spartans Fighting Cancer, a donation jar will also be in the storefront, located at 220 Service Road. The store is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
