Experiential Dining Events

MSU students have the opportunity to use their Combo-X-Changes in an exciting, new way! We've created many interactive events that students can attend simply by pre-registering and paying with CX swipes!  Register early, as each "experience" has limited spots available.

Please note that a minimum number of participants is required for each event. If the minimum is not reached, the event will be canceled. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified, and charges will be not be applied to your account. Some events may be updated or changed. Please check back for the latest updates. Thank you for your understanding and support!

ALL EVENTS ARE PRE-PAID. CXS WILL BE SUBTRACTED ON THE MONDAY PRECEDING THE EVENT.

SOLD OUT!   Thursday, Feb. 6  |  Dessert Making Demo - Cake Pops & Oreo Truffles - Holmes Dining, Spartan Room, 6-8 p.m. - Cost: 2 CX

In this demonstration, you'll be hands-on making your own cake pops & Oreo truffles. You'll not only gain some knowledge, but you'll also leave with some yummy treats!

SOLD OUT!  Monday, Feb. 10  |  Chef's Table - Caribbean Cruise of Culinary Exploration, The Edge at Akers, Private Dining Room, 5-7 p.m. - Cost 4 CX

Embark on a culinary journey through the Caribbean with Chef Cruz and The Edge at Akers team. Enjoy favorite dishes from the islands, featuring ingredients and flavors brought together from many cultures. Caribbean cuisine has something for everyone. MSU Arts4U will provide live music.

 

Fridays, Feb. 14 and Feb. 28  |  Starbucks Mixologist Event - Main Library Starbucks, 4:30-6 p.m. - Cost: 2 CX

Two dates are available for this fun interactive experiential event!  Put your barista talents to the test as you design a custom beverage. Starbucks baristas will guide you through the process of creation!

 

Wednesday, Feb. 19  |  Charcuterie Class - Kellogg Center, 5-7 p.m. - Cost: 3 CX

Participants in this fun, hands-on class will learn how to create beautiful and delicious charcuterie boards. You'll be able to practice your skills as you follow along with the chef guiding you step-by-step. You'll leave with a unique Spartan board filled with your creations and the confidence to craft your own stunning boards at home.

Thursday, March 13  |  Dinner and a Movie - Kellogg Center, 6-8 p.m. - Cost: 3 CX

  • Get you snacks on!  Learn how to assemble loaded chips, where to buy ingredients and what pairs well together. Afterwards, you'll put your creativity on display as you assemble your own loaded chips using ingredients provided and take them with you to the dining room to enjoy a hot dog bar, soft drinks and a film playing.

Saturday, March 15  |  Batter Up! A Tasty Breading Workshop, Holmes dining, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Cost: 3 CX

  • This delicious demonstration will teach you how to bread chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks for a scrumptious lunch. You'll also make dipping sauces and bottle a bit to take with you.
