Experiential Dining Events

MSU students have the opportunity to use their Combo-X-Changes in an exciting, new way! We've created an abundance of interactive events that students can attend simply by pre-registering and paying with CX swipes!  Register early, as each "experience" has limited spots available.

Please note that a minimum number of participants is required for each event. If the minimum is not reached, the event will be canceled. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified, and no charges will be applied to your account. Some events may be updated or changed. Please check back for the latest updates. Thank you for your understanding and support!

ALL EVENTS ARE PRE-PAID. CXS WILL BE SUBTRACTED ON THE MONDAY PRECEDING THE EVENT.

Wednesday, Jan. 15 Cooking Demo: Enhance Your In-Room Meals: Kellogg Center, 5-7 p.m. - 3 CX

  • Unlock the secrets to preparing tasty in-room (dorm) meals with just a few ingredients — no gourmet kitchen required!
  • Join the talented chefs from the State Room at Kellogg Center for an engaging, interactive cooking demonstration highlighting campus-sourced ingredients you can get with your CX swipes and the appliances you already have in your room.

Thursday, Jan. 30  |  Chef's Table with Chef Jose Almaguer-Leal: Hunt Club, Holden Dining, 12-1:30 p.m. - 4 CX

  • This interactive dining event will celebrate the rich culinary traditions of Mexico through a delicious three-course menu designed and prepared by Chef Jose. You’ll enjoy Authentic Mexican Cuisine with a three-course menu featuring dishes inspired by Mexico's diverse culinary heritage, cultural insights as you learn the stories and techniques behind each dish directly from Chef Jose and a unique culinary experience that's perfect for food enthusiasts eager to explore global flavors.

Thursday, Jan. 30  |  Strolling Tailgate at MSUFCU Club in Spartan Stadium, 5-7:30 p.m, - 4 CX

  • Get exclusive access to the MSUFCU Club and the ultimate game-day experience. Join Sous Chef Nick Reitler and the Kellogg team as they transform the space into an indoor gourmet watch party experience with games, grub and good times. The group will cheer on Coach Fralick and the MSU Women’s Basketball Team as they go up against the Oregon Ducks. Come hungry and enjoy the menu including Build Your Own (BYO) meal stations and specialty beverages. There will also be MSU swag (only available at this event). If you are a diehard Spartan, don’t snooze on this experience.

Friday, Feb. 7  |  Karaoke Night - Holmes Dining Hall, 6-8 p.m. - Cost: 3 CX

  • Get your singing voice ready and bring all your friends! This fun-filled evening will let you showcase your talents—you may even win a prize!

Feb. 14 & Feb. 28 |  Starbucks Mixologist Competition - Library Starbucks, 7-8:30 p.m. - Cost: 2 CX

  • Put your barista talents to the test! Develop a unique hot or cold beverage, and one of our talented baristas will make it. A panel of experts will judge drinks and the winning drink will be featured at the store!

Monday, Feb. 10  |  Chef's Table - Caribbean Cruise of Culinary Exploration, The Edge at Akers, 5-7 p.m. - Cost 4 CX

Wednesday, Feb. 19  |  Charcuterie Class - Kellogg Center, 5-7 p.m. - Cost: 3 CX

  • In this fun, hands-on class, participants will learn how to create beautiful and delicious charcuterie boards. You'll be able to practice your skills as you follow along with the chef guiding you step-by-step. You'll leave with a unique Spartan board filled with your creations and the confidence to craft your own stunning boards at home.

Friday, March 21  | Chef's Table - A Cultural Heritage Experience In Vietnamese Cuisine - The Gallery at Snyder/Phillips, 6:30-8:30 p.m. - Cost: 4 CX

  • With her five-course meal, Executive Chef Dien Ly will transport us to different flavors with her Franco-Vietnamese cooking style. This delectable fusion originated during the French colonization of Vietnam, merging the finest elements of both culinary traditions. Her distinctive approach will celebrate this rich blend of flavors and traditions, promising to delight and inspire.
