Student Dining Plans

Student dining plans are designed to allow Spartans to dine on campus or on the go. With so many locations and options available from 7 a.m.-midnight, you’ll never go hungry!

Fall semester dining plans begin with breakfast on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017.

Please note that rates listed are for the 2017-2018 school year. Dining plan rates are subject to change based on room and board rates approved by the MSU Board of Trustees and rates set by the Division of Residential and Hospitality Services.

If preferred, Owen residents can opt to select one of the unlimited plans listed above (DineOn Platinum, DineOn Gold or DineOn Silver) for an additional fee.

DineOn Owen | $3,778 per semester (includes housing for double room)

Off-campus Plans

Students living in Williams Hall, Van Hoosen Hall, University Apartments, 1855 Place or at off-campus properties can choose from a variety of dining plan options. Students living off campus are also welcome to purchase an unlimited dining plan, listed under ‘On-campus Plans’ above.

DineOn 175 | $1,268.75 for 175 meal accesses ($7.25 per access)

DineOn 125 | $1,031.25 for 125 meal accesses ($8.25 per access)

DineOn 100 | $875 for 100 meal accesses ($8.75 per access)

DineOn 50 | $462.50 for 50 meal accesses ($9.25 per access)

DineOn 25 | $243.75 for 25 meal accesses ($9.75 per access)

Meal accesses can be used at any of the nine residential dining halls on campus and as a Combo-X-Change at participating locations. Guests with off-campus plans can use multiple Combo-X-Changes per day (each Combo deducts one meal access). Meal accesses can also be used to bring friends and guests to eat with you in the dining halls.

Off-campus plans remain active for students as long as you have your ID card and keep the plan active by using at least one meal in a one-year academic cycle from July 1-June 30. Dining plans not used during this timeframe will be deactivated. Off-campus dining plans are non-transferable and non-refundable. Michigan State University reserves the right to change the terms of use for dining plans.
