ON-THE-GO Food Truck Taking on a Blended Burger Challenge

Eat at State ON-THE-GO Food Truck is participating in The James Beard Foundation’s Blended Burger Project. The nationwide contest is a challenge to make a “blended burger” by blending ground meat with finely chopped mushrooms to create a delicious, healthy and more sustainable burger. Blending meat with mushrooms reduces calories, fat and sodium while adding important nutrients like vitamin D, potassium and B vitamin varieties.

The burger is a beef and mushroom patty crusted with Bailey GREENhouse and Urban Farm oyster mushroom powder, topped with Swiss cheese, crispy shoulder bacon, lettuce, house-made tomato jam and crispy fried onions on a lightly toasted local Breadsmith bun.
