- Meals for Sick Students - Form and Process
Students who are sick should not pick up their own meals to avoid spreading illness to the campus community. Additionally, they should never provide their ID card to anyone, as they are non-transferable.
MSU Culinary Services has a sick meal pickup process in place. The ill student can complete the form (link above) and provide a completed copy (printed or electronic) to the person picking up their meal. Copies of the form are also available at the dining hall entrance host stands and service centers.
The individual designated to pick up the meal needs to show a paper or electronic copy of the completed form to the entrance host at a campus dining hall. The location they visit must be in the same neighborhood where the ill student resides. This includes all-you-care-to-eat dining halls as well as grab-and-go dining in Holden and Holmes. The individual picking up the meal will also be asked to show their MSU ID. For your safety, store to-go meals in a refrigerator until eaten.
Please note: A separate form is needed for each meal period requested.
- Dining Options for Groups and University Departments (Meal Tickets/Meal Cards)
Group Dining
If you are interested in group dining options, please contact University Conference Services at 517-353-9300 or conferences@rhs.msu.edu. Please note that you cannot bring outside food or beverages, including cakes/desserts, into our on-campus dining locations.
Meal Cards
MSU departments may purchase a meal card for business purposes as outlined in the MSU Manual of Business Procedures. Cards are intended for groups of 30 or less and are recommended for frequent visits to the dining halls. Meal cards are non-refundable and non-returnable. If you lose or misplace your card, a $10 per card reprint fee will apply.
Meal Card Order Form: Please save a copy of the form to your computer before filling it out.
Meal Tickets
University department meal tickets are a convenient means for groups to gain fast and easy entry into a campus dining facility. You can purchase meal tickets if you are hosting a small group with more than five members. If you buy five meals or fewer, pre-ordering is unnecessary; you can complete a department charge at the door. Meal tickets are non-refundable and non-returnable.
Meal Ticket Order Form: Please save a copy of the form to your computer before filling it out.
Meal tickets can be used at dining halls for one meal/entry or at retail locations that accept Combo-X-Change. One ticket is valid for one Combo-X-Change meal, which includes an entrée, side and beverage. For more details about Combo-X-Change, please see our FAQs. If you encounter any issues with redemption, please contact us at 517-884-0660.
