The Spartan Linen Services (SLS) retail store at the front of the Linen Services Building at 373 Service Road will undergo renovations during winter break. The team looks forward to new flooring, space for customers to try on clothing, updated shelving and more.

On Saturday, Nov. 16, Michigan Dining hosted the 5th annual Culinary Throwdown at South Quad Dining in Ann Arbor. The event, sponsored by the National Pork Board, features three timed rounds of competition. In each round, chefs are given 20 minutes to cook and plate their main course creation featuring pork.


MSU Culinary Services (CS) is proud to give back to the community and focus on engaging with partners on campus and in the surrounding area. In recent months, staff has participated in a variety of projects to allow everyone to grow individually and as a team.


MSU Bakers is proud to continue supporting National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Throughout October, a portion of proceeds from each purchase of pink swirl cupcakes from msubakers.com and the bakery storefront will benefit Spartans Fighting Cancer.

MSU Executive Chefs created unique recipes for our own version of the Chicken Sandwich Wars. Try ‘em all during lunch service the week of Monday, Sept. 30 through Friday, Oct. 4 (11 a.m.-2 p.m. each day).

MSU Bakers is now a nut-conscious facility! All items sold are made without peanut or tree nut containing ingredients. In January 2019, Culinary Services (CS) began the Reimagining the Future initiative. As part of the initiative, department teams have been working toward accomplishing short- and long-term goals.

MSU Corporate Executive Chef Kurt Kwiatkowski was recently inducted into the American Academy of Chefs (AAC), the honor society of the American Culinary Federation. AAC represents the highest standards of professionalism in the organization, society and industry.
