InHarvest Visiting in Late March for Whole Grain Sampling Day

Chef Jason “Jay Z” Ziobrowski, CEC, from InHarvest is returning to campus March 27 to help celebrate Whole Grain Sampling Day. InHarvest, a premier provider of rice, rice blends, exotic grains and legumes, first visited in December 2017. On Wednesday, March 27, the campus community can enjoy a variety of unique grain dishes, including the following:

 

The Edge at Akers

  • Lemon quinoa with Brussel sprouts (lunch)

 

Holmes Dining Hall

  • Quinoa and tomatillo salad (lunch)

 

The Gallery at Snyder/Phillips

  • Quinoa lentil salad (lunch)
  • Quinoa sweet potato tacos (lunch)
  • Tomato rice kale soup (lunch)
  • Miso kale power bowl (dinner)

 

Brody Square

  • Rio rice medley (lunch)
  • Sweet potato and adobo rice empanada (dinner)

 

Heritage Commons at Landon

  • Basmati rice blend (lunch)
  • Wild rice and cherry stuffing (dinner)

 

South Pointe at Case

  • Thai purple rice (lunch)
  • Tri-colored quinoa (lunch)
  • Turkey and garden wild ruby blend rice (lunch)

 

Holden Dining Hall

  • Red jasmine rice for stir fry (lunch)
  • Naked wild and free blend (lunch)

 

The Vista at Shaw

  • White quinoa (lunch)

 

All residential dining halls will offer a blend of options for lunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., and Brody and The Gallery will feature dinner options from 5-8 p.m. In addition, Chef Jay Z will be on hand at The Gallery during dinner to feature a miso kale power bowl at the Latitudes venue.

Chef Jay Z works personally with customers to help them capitalize on the singular qualities of InHarvest products to increase sales and satisfaction. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University who is certified as an executive chef by the American Culinary Federation, he focuses heavily on recipe development based on existing and forecasted menu trends, customer demand, and seasonal and regional ingredients.
