Spartans observing Ramadan will have the following options available from MSU Culinary Services. 

Residential Dining

Dinner Options
Our daily menus will include a halal protein complete plate option at the following dining locations during dinner hours:

  • South Pointe at Case - MiBowl
  • The Gallery at Sny/Phi - New Traditions
  • The Edge at Akers - Tandoori
  • Sparty's Market at Holmes
  • Sparty's Market at Holden

Our halal dinner menus offer a variety of world flavors in addition to Middle Eastern dishes. Please use the links below to access our spring semester dining hours and online menus.

 

Retail Dining - Combo-X-Change Options

Beyond our residential dining hall offerings, specialty products, including halal items, will be offered at all retail locations throughout Ramadan. These products will be Combo-X-Change options. Each Sparty’s location will have beverage options (A items), entrée options (B items) and sides/snacks (C items) available.

Hot halal CX options are available at locations featuring hot grab-and-go items (meal times vary):

Eid al-Fitr Celebration Menus

Eid al-Fitr, also known as the 'festival of breaking the fast,' marks the end of Ramadan. We will offer increased halal options and special desserts from Shatilla Bakery at the following locations/dates:

  • Thursday, March 19: Brody Square and The Gallery at Sny/Phi
  • Friday, March 20: South Pointe at Case and The Edge at Akers
